WD-W10 High Voltage Bridge Locator

WD-W10 high voltage bridge locator is designed based on the principle of MURRAY bridge. It is suitable for locating the breakdown point of various wires and cables and the defect point without breakdown but low insulation resistance value, as well as locating the fault of hV cable sheath. Of course, it can also be used to locate the defect points of various cables in the cable factory.

WD-W10 High Voltage Bridge Locator has three functions:

1. DC withstand voltage test: the equipment can output 0~15kV DC voltage, which can be used for cable DC withstand voltage test.

2. Burn through fault point: burn through and reduce the resistance of high resistance and flashover fault point.

3. Fault pre-positioning: use the bridge principle to carry out pre-positioning, and the four-terminal resistance measurement method avoids the error introduced by the lead resistance.

Product Details

The equipment adopts switching power supply to form a high-voltage constant current source, no-load voltage -15000V, and short-circuit current 30mA. A high-sensitivity amplifier and a galvanometer are used to indicate balance, and a balance bridge is formed with a proportional potentiometer, which is placed at a high potential as a whole. The test line is a specially designed double-core high-voltage rubber cable. The four-terminal resistance measurement method is adopted to avoid the error introduced by the lead resistance. The test line is reliably grounded through the braided shielding layer. The operation button on the panel is at ground potential, and the bridge is operated through an insulating rod. The high voltage constant current source and bridge are integrated in a portable industrial chassis. Therefore, the device has high voltage, light weight, convenient operation and safe use.
